BEEF BONE SOUP - Mar 25, 2020
Ingredients:
• 1 kg Beef with Bones
• 2 Carrots cut into cubes
• 2 Potatoes cut into cubes
• Few green beans cut into 1" size
• Cabbage cut into square shape
• Leeks
• 1/2 cup Mysoor dhal
• 5 tbsp Barley
• 4 ripe Tomatoes in whole
• 2 tbsp Ginger & Garlic paste
• Few Red Onions crushed
• 2 tbsp Spice Powder made with (Cumin, Pepper, Corriander, Cinnamon, Corriander seeds and Cardamom ground) or according to requirement
• Salt according to taste
• One big Onion sliced
• Pinch of Turmeric Powder
• Butter to temper
• Corriander leaves
• Water for consistency
Method:
Wash the bones. Use the pressure cooker if you have one.
Put the bones, dhal, barley, tomatoes, salt, turmeric and water into the pan. Let it boil. Once well boiled, add the carrots, potato, crushed red onions and ginger/garlic paste. Boil once more.
Add the rest except sliced onions and oil. Boil a little more. Take the pan off the cooker. Add some coriander leaves.
Temper the onion slices and pour over it.
The beef bone soup is ready to serve.
